About
Bruce Swicker is the founder and president of Earhart Leigh Associates, Inc. Prior entering the insurance industry nearly 15 years ago, Bruce enjoyed a successful career in the hospitality industry with both the Carlyle Hotel and the Westbury Hotel in New York, and the Beverly Hills Hotel in Southern California, and subsequently as a real estate broker and co-founder of The Ross Group, a commercial real estate brokerage in Los Angeles. It was while in California that Bruce discovered his future in insurance.
After returning to New York City in 1994, Bruce spent a year managing a branch office of one of the largest personal lines brokerages in the northeast, ultimately growing the branch’s commercial production to #1 in the company. Bruce then joined a larger commercial brokerage firm, and quickly began to develop a substantial expertise in the area of professional liability, including medical, legal and accounting malpractice, as well as related issues such as directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, and errors & omissions insurance.
Ultimately, in June of 2001, Bruce founded Earhart Leigh Associates, Inc., and in March of 2003 ELA moved to their present location at Fifth Avenue & 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan.
A true “I Love New York” resident of Manhattan’s upper east side, Bruce is a member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (“PLUS”), Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, the New York Friar’s Club, Gotham City Networking, the Professional Business Network Association (“PBNA”), amongst others.
